Paris Fashion Week: how to move between shows on time

A fashion show runway with audience and stage lights

Paris Fashion Week takes place twice a year, with separate weeks for the women's collections, the men's collections and haute couture. Whatever the season, the pattern is the same: a packed schedule, venues in different parts of the city, and very little room for delay. If you are a buyer, an editor, a stylist, a model or a guest, getting from one show to the next is a real part of the job.

The problem with the schedule

Shows are often scheduled close together, and they begin when they begin. Venues can be in different arrondissements, sometimes outside the centre. Streets near the venues are busy with cars and pedestrians, and a taxi rank is rarely nearby when you come out. A few minutes lost on the road can mean a missed seat or a missed fitting.

How a private chauffeur helps

  • Your car waits for you. With an hourly booking, the chauffeur stays with you between stops instead of dropping you and leaving.
  • A driver who plans the route. Send us your schedule in advance and we will think through the order of your stops, the best drop-off point at each venue and a sensible margin.
  • Space for what you carry. Garment bags, camera equipment, sample cases and shopping all travel with you. Tell us what you will carry, and we will choose between a Mercedes E-Class and a V-Class.
  • A calm place between shows. Reply to messages, change shoes, touch up, or take a call in privacy.
  • Discretion. Your chauffeur does not talk about your clients or your day.

Tips for a smoother week

  • Share the schedule early. Even a rough list of venues and times helps us plan. You can send updates as the week goes on.
  • Build in a margin. A car is faster and more reliable than other options, but Paris traffic is still Paris traffic. We suggest leaving a margin between shows.
  • Agree a pick-up point. Venues often have a side street or another exit that is easier for a car than the main entrance.
  • Think about the evening. Dinners and after-parties often finish late. We can plan your return in advance.
  • Group bookings. If your team travels together, tell us how many people and how much luggage so that we can send the right car or more than one.

Arriving and leaving

Many guests land at CDG or Orly the day before the first show. We can meet you at the airport and take you straight to your hotel. If you prefer a more personal welcome at CDG, ask about our VIP Meet & Greet. On the last day, your chauffeur can take you to the airport or to your train station.
